8/15/2023 0 Comments Buttercup ppg reboot![]() ![]() Bubbles and Buttercup are more tolerable in seasons 2 & 3.The three were at least given some more development, such as giving them new superpowers that allow them to project energy and manipulate it into various entities. While their appearances mostly hadn't changed, some of their facial expressions can get hideous, uncanny, cringe-worthy and creepy.Daily as she makes Buttercup sound too tomboyish and high-pitched, as she tries too hard to sound like a boy, while Amanda Leighton and Kristen Li's impressions of Blossom and Bubbles sound too whiny. Natalie Palamides, also in particular, sounds absolutely nothing like E.G.Their voices are extremely irritating and annoying at many times, especially Buttercup's.However, to be fair this was due to Allegro controlling them. Speaking of, as seen in "Painbow" There was this infamously controversial scene in which Bubbles and Blossom were shown twerking in front of the camera while being possessed by Allegro. This was thankfully cut in the Turkish dub of the aforementioned episode.Blossom was given a "love interest" who's rather too old and she's frequently seen having guilty fantasies about said "love interest". Bubbles even said the outdated “OMG! Yaaaas!” phrase in " Painbow". The girls did a bunch of outdated memes in the first season most notably when Bubbles said the "No Me Gusta!" meme as seen in " Tiara Trouble", and the Mojo Jojo Meme Maker.Ironically, the makers of the reboot said their intention was to flesh out their personalities, when their aforementioned flanderization above instead does the exact opposite by turning the girls into caricatures of their original 1998 selves. They are so bad that they can even make their 1998 seasons 5 and 6 counterparts better in comparison. While in the case in the original, it was at least fairly rare it happens in the majority of this reboot. Despite being a tomboy, she is often considered the Butt-Monkey of the group, due to how she is often mistreated by both Blossom and Bubbles. Buttercup is nowadays nothing more than a ridiculous bully (which doesn't stay true to her name) who cares mostly about butt jokes (because her name has "butt" in it) and is practically a stereotypical tomboy.Bubbles is now a "girly", psychotic, annoying, goody-two-shoes crybaby who lacks any real character development.Blossom is practically nowadays an overreacting, neurotic nerd who suffers from OCD, and is often a stereotypical, bratty, mean-spirited leader. The girls were severely flanderized beyond recognition in this incarnation, to the point that they fit more to the Teen Titans Go! versions of the original Teen Titans than the girls' original 1998 counterparts.Cartoon Network did an abrupt voice actor change in them, especially Bubbles, and even in the Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese dubs.Note: This only applies to their characters in the 2016 reboot. ![]() Why These Imposters Are Not The Perfect Little Girls 1 Why These Imposters Are Not The Perfect Little Girls. ![]()
